Since marketing is an ever-evolving field, and the needs of consumers and markets are constantly changing, many of these projects are dynamic, or “works in progress”.
Conyers Group, LLC web site
My experience in my family’s property management business is invaluable. As a two-person show, I’ve done everything from designing and mastering our web site to manning the mop and broom.
User Interface for eyecentergroup.com
I’m currently leading a web re-design project for eyecentergroup.com. I work very closely with a programmer and a graphic designer to be sure that we’re creating the optimal environment to convert tire kickers into patients.

Public Relations for The Eye Center Group
I’ve been involved in many PR campaigns for the Eye Center Group, and here I’ve selected out a few that I consider the most successful.
Professional Speaking Engagements
The Advertising Director for Ball State’s award-winning Daily News invited me to share my insight on marketing research and its role in the media buying and planning process with her student advertising sales team. Since I’m kinda nerdy about research, and sometimes miss my days at Ball State, I jumped at the chance.
Online Marketing for The Eye Center Group
I’ve recently implemented a monthly email newsletter, EyeUpdate. I am responsible for all aspects of this program except the design of the header. So far, this campaign boasts a 66% open rate, far above the average open rate in the health care industry of 19%.
Cosmetic Solutions Brochure for The Eye Center Group
Dr. Lynnette Watkins has been working to expand her line of services into elective procedures including Botox, injectable fillers, brow lifts and eyelid lifts. The demographic that we are trying to reach is well-educated, higher disposable income and a generally savvy consumer. We created this brochure along with inserts in a pocket in the back to showcase various promotions, discounts, and a menu of services that could easily be replaced. I was responsible for copywriting, as well as project management.

Personal Branding for Paul Starr
Paul Starr is a local real estate broker that knows his stuff. He was looking to go beyond the norm and create his own brand to stand out. He wasn’t really sure what he was looking for, but his only guidance was that he preferred blue and red and wanted to perhaps incorporate a star. Ok. Since the inception of his new brand, Paul has contracted me to do SEO and for his web site, as well as create an email newsletter and blog. I’ve also consulted him on using his print ads to drive traffic to his web site. This site is particularly challenging because of the fact that it is a template, due to its critical integration with the MLS system, which displays listings and their status in real time.
I’ve been working with Paul’s site for a few months now, and we’ve seen great results. The page views for paulstarrhomes.com have doubled, and we’ve seen an increase of 63% in number of visitors. We’ve accomplished this by using more effective keywords and SEO strategies to start the slow climb to page one, but more noticeably by implementing a blog and email newsletter.
